APEAL, the Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging, today announced two new appointments to reinforce the technical competencies of its Brussels based team.

Ruaidri MacDomhnaill joins as Regulatory Affairs Manager.  

Ruaidri is an experienced REACH professional with extensive knowledge of regulations, authorisations and preparation of technical dossiers. His early career covered the pharmaceutical industry and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Most recently at REACHLaw he supported the company’s Authorisation strategy, preparing the Analysis of Alternatives and also project managing several applications.  He holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from University of Dublin, Trinity College.

Steve Claus joins as Sustainability & Circular Economy Officer.  

Steve is as an entrepreneurial professional with more than 20 years of experience in EPR, collection, sorting and recycling of household waste and sustainability in general. After a career at Fost Plus in Belgium, he has most recently held roles of project manager and account manager, advising both industry and authorities in setting up EPR-based innovative and sustainable circular models for the collection, sorting and treatment of household waste. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp.
