APEAL TO SPEAK AT 12TH INTERNATIONAL TINPLATE CONFERENCE 20-21 OCTOBER

#11.10.2021 APEAL TO SPEAK AT 12TH INTERNATIONAL TINPLATE CONFERENCE 20-21 OCTOBER

International Tin AssociationAPEAL Regulatory Affairs Manager Ruaidrí MacDomhnaill will open the first session of “Meeting the future”  on 20th October, with a presentation entitled “European ETP manufacturing in an ever-changing regulatory environment.”

He will cover how current tinplate manufacturing by APEAL members fits the current regulatory initiatives of the European Green Deal (European Climate Law, Circular Economy Action Plan, the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, Farm to Fork Strategy…) and how, in order to address these challenges head-on, we have been actively moving forward on a range of topics, from sustainable production to the cooperative development of a chromium free passivation alternative (CFPA) for electrolytic tinplate.

Taking place every 4 years, the ITA is well respected in the industry as a unique forum for tracking market and technology changes in tinplate. The event attracts delegates from across the supply chain, including tinplate producers, traders, analysts, can makers, lacquer suppliers, equipment and electrolyte suppliers. The last conference in London in 2016 attracted over 125 delegates.
