PDA - Pan European Brand Design Association
Just as brand and packaging design is the communicative link between products and consumers, PDA unites brand and packaging designers from all over Europe.

What is PDA?

PDA is a non-profit organisation. It was founded in 1991 and is the only Pan-European association of brand and packaging designers. Its 80 or so members come from leading design agencies in 14 countries as well as from internationally active agencies overseas.

What are the goals of PDA?

PDA promotes the profession of the designer and the special know-how within design consultancies towards design clients, the press, the authorities as well as young talent. By offering a platform for contacts between designers on the one hand and people of related areas on the other hand, it enables the exchange of ideas and experiences and the increase of know-how. PDA establishes ethical rules and qualitative guidelines for the profession and safeguards compliance with them. In order to inform its members about less well-known markets, new trends and challenges as well as about legal and technical developments, PDA organises congresses and educational events.

As a source of information about the profession and the scope of services of designers and design consultancies PDA is at the disposal of authorities, schools and design clients.

What does PDA do?

Every year PDA organises two congresses in different cities mainly in Europe with renowned speakers from design, marketing, arts, packaging material suppliers, electronic media, and many other fields of interest to its members. PDA commissions international researches about themes affecting the position of design agencies in the future and makes them available to all its members.
