STRUCTURE
THE APEAL STRUCTURE

APEAL, the Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging, has a simple, de-centralised structure. The Board of Directors, composed of delegates from all industry members, meets regularly to determine and monitor policy and objectives, approve the organisation's budget and elect a President for a defined mandate.

APEAL's Marketing Committee co-ordinates the work of various European Task Forces with remits covering market analysis, communications, environmental issues and public affairs.

Should specific matters arise - concerning, for example, ecological assessment in a particular country, or various technical questions - APEAL will convene an appropriate ad-hoc committee without delay.

EUROPEAN TASK FORCES
CREATION OF ACTION ORIENTATED, PAN-EUROPEAN TASK FORCES

APEAL set up a number of pan-European Task Forces made up of marketing and R&D specialists from its member companies. Their aim: optimise today’s steel packaging solutions and, in co-operation with all of the players of the packaging chain, foster future innovation.

Key to the projects tackled by these European Task Forces is market research into the attitudes and behaviour of consumers and the needs of packaging decision-makers in Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies.
